Closing the AI Empowerment Gap
Clarity and direction for building AI capability across your organisation.
Taught directly by Fahed Bizzari, author of AI Empowerment for Business Leaders.
What you decide about AI affects your organisation’s ability to compete and succeed. It shapes what your people can do, the risks your company carries and where it commits time and money.
Closing the AI Empowerment Gap is a six-hour, hands-on workshop that helps you understand what to consider when making those decisions. Through your own experience of harnessing AI, you explore what your people need, what safe and effective use requires and how your organisation can develop and sustain that capability.
The workshop is hands-on, immersive and hyper-personalised to each participant, independently of the others. Every activity you work through is specific to your own organisation, role and responsibilities. Learn how hyper-personalisation works.
Includes company preparation, your digital workbook, supporting resources and a follow-up the following week.

The experience
How hyper-personalisation works
Hyper-personalisation makes your own organisation, role and responsibilities the working context for the day. You explore possibilities for work you recognise, encounter questions that matter to your business and consider what the experience could mean for your people. Your activities are tailored to you, independently of the other participants.
Before the workshop
We research your organisation to understand what it does and how it operates. We use that research to prepare and train our AI platform for your workshop.
At the start
Our AI interviews you about your position and responsibilities. Our platform then uses that interview to train the AI on your role and the work you lead within your organisation.
Throughout the workshop
You work through the activities with AI trained on both your organisation and your role. It draws on that understanding throughout, tailoring its questions and responses to your business and the responsibilities you carry.

A very practical workshop, directly linked to each participant’s organisation, role and responsibilities.
Who should attend
Who this workshop is for
Senior leaders responsible for the direction, resources or performance of an organisation, function or team whose people do knowledge work.
Your people may already use AI. AI empowerment goes further, enabling them to harness its power safely, effectively and judiciously in work that matters. This workshop helps you understand what they need to develop that capability and what your organisation must establish to sustain it.
The leadership understanding
What you will understand
You gain hands-on experience of harnessing AI in your own work, with guidance throughout on what your people would need to do the same. That includes what they need to learn, the tools and support they require and what your organisation must establish to develop and sustain that capability.
You will understand the foundations everyone needs, what exercising sound judgement involves and how requirements grow with more advanced applications. Your own guided experience helps you consider what developing that capability would require of the people you lead.
You will also examine how negligent AI use can expose your organisation to risk, what safe use requires and what your people need to learn and practise.
Explore what it takes for progress with AI to become something your organisation can keep building on. You will understand how capability can grow across your people and be retained as colleagues change roles, technology advances and business priorities evolve.
You will explore the role of an AI Management System in supporting safe practice, coordinating continuing development and making useful improvements part of everyday work.
When someone proposes an AI tool, training programme or project, you need a basis for judging whether it deserves your organisation’s resources. Through worked examples, you will explore what makes an investment credible and what it would require of your business.
You will also discover an intuitive approach to identifying worthwhile AI opportunities within your organisation and take away practical questions to support discussions with colleagues and providers.
Explore what closing the AI empowerment gap requires of you as a leader. This includes giving the work direction, establishing ownership and sustaining progress. You will consider how the work needs to be sequenced and where your personal attention is needed.
With guidance, you will develop an initial view of where your organisation could begin, which priorities deserve attention and what needs further consideration. These initial conclusions give you something specific to examine with your team.
What you take back to your organisation
Your workbook brings together the initial conclusions, priorities and questions you develop about your organisation, with guidance during the day. It also preserves the activities and reflections behind your thinking, so you can revisit them and bring colleagues into the discussion.
The workshop’s core concepts and frameworks in one concise guide. Use it to refresh your understanding and explain the ideas to colleagues as you consider what they mean for your organisation.
A practical resource to bring into discussions about AI tools, training and projects. Use the questions to examine the case being made and recognise what needs further scrutiny before committing resources.
After the day
Bring your questions back the following week
A 90-minute online group follow-up, included in your place.
You will have time to reflect on the workshop and discuss its implications with colleagues. We provide reflection questions to help you revisit your initial conclusions and consider what they mean for your organisation.
Then return with the questions that emerge. We will help clarify anything you are unsure about and discuss the next steps you are considering.

Fahed is the author of AI Empowerment for Business Leaders and Managing Partner of Bellamy Alden. He has spent more than two decades building businesses and helping organisations turn individual expertise into systems and ways of working that others can use.
Since early 2023, he has trained leaders and their teams in applied AI and worked with organisations to develop their own AI capability. That experience led him to name the AI Empowerment Gap and develop a practical method for closing it.
Fahed personally teaches and guides this workshop. You learn the approach directly from its author, drawing on his experience of what helps people progress, where they struggle and what their organisations need to provide.
This was clearly built by people who understand how companies actually work and how people react to change.

Questions before attending
Yes. Existing AI use raises important leadership questions: how safely and effectively are people using it, what capability do they still need to develop and what should the organisation provide?
The workshop helps you understand those requirements and consider their implications for your own people, including where you have already invested in AI tools or training.
You will gain first-hand experience that helps you understand consequential decisions about AI: what capability your people need, where investment may be worthwhile and what your organisation must establish to sustain progress.
As you work through the activities, you also consider the learning, practice and support your people would need to develop that capability themselves. You leave with a clearer basis for leadership discussions, with initial priorities and questions captured in your workbook.
Yes. AI Empowerment for Business Leaders is Bellamy Alden’s combined private offering for leadership teams. It brings together Mind the AI Empowerment Gap and Closing the AI Empowerment Gap.
